Learning and Innovation Skills - 4CS
"The rapidity of change, the relentless advance of technology, the diminishing half-life of knowledge, the far-reaching effects of globalization – all these factors contribute to a growing conviction that the best thing we can teach our children is how to teach themselves". ~Partnership for 21st Century Skills
C reating an environment of inquiry and collaboration is key to building a 21st century classroom. Supporting critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and innovation,
collaboration, and communication with varied teaching strategies, activities, and tools to produce life-long learners is critical. To do this, teaching styles must be adjusted, student independence and team collaboration must be in place, and inquiry-based projects supporting higher-order thinking skills must be the norm. Once this structure has been molded, effective and powerful technology resources can be used as the tools to facilitate these strategies and activities.
